Alicia L. O’Sullivan, Au.D.

Home/Alicia L. O'Sullivan

Dr. Alicia L. O’Sullivan grew up in Abington, Massachusetts and went to Abington High School.

She went to Bridgewater State College for her bachelor’s degree in special education, concentrating in communication disorders, before finishing her education at the University of Connecticut for her Au.D.

With a genetic predisposition to hearing loss, Dr. Alicia has been getting her hearing tested since childhood.

As someone who is aware of the side effects of hearing loss firsthand, she was initially interested in working in special education. However, due to her history of hearing loss, she soon fell in love with the science of audiology.

On an average day at South Shore Hearing Center as an Au.D., Dr. Alicia performs hearing testing and fittings, as well as hearing aid maintenance and routine care.

While there are many aspects of Dr. Alicia’s role to enjoy, Dr. Alicia loves interacting with patients, including helping them to hear and improve their quality of life.

Getting to know patients and establishing a relationship with them over time is something that Dr. Alicia loves about working in private practice. Technology is constantly improving and Dr. Alicia loves being able to clinically apply it to patients to help them get the most out of their technology.

When Dr. Alicia’s not in the office, she likes to take advantage of good weather by being outside as much as possible. She enjoys spending time adventuring with her boyfriend and dog, playing soccer, or lounging with a good book in her hammock.
