Announcing Our Winner of the Hear for the Holidays Competition…

The whole experience for me was amazing, overwhelming, and really fulfilling.

After much deliberation and many nominations, we have finally selected who we believe is the most deserving winner of our “Hear for the Holidays” competition.

This is our first time doing this, and we couldn’t be happier with the results.

We were overwhelmed by the support and participation we received. This is just one of the many reasons why we love being a part of this small Massachusetts community.

People helping people and raising awareness of hearing loss are the core principles of this competition. We want to help open communication within our community so you can enjoy the precious things in life through better hearing.

Preventing hearing loss is still our best course of action, so the sooner we can detect it, the better chance we have of successfully managing it.

Due to the positive response, we received from our first Hear for the Holidays, many of our neighbors and peers agree that hearing loss is a serious issue.

We hope everyone will continue tackling this problem and join us in the fight against hearing loss. Our winner is proof that treating hearing loss can improve can lives, and we want to create this feeling for everyone here in South Weymouth and Hanover.

And the Winner Is…

Giovanni Ciambriello! We received such a touching and heartwarming nomination from his wife, Michelle. I’ll share some of what she wrote with you now.

“I’m nominating my husband Giovanni for this gift. He has never wanted to be the center of attention and is more of a one-on-one person who is devoted to his friends and helps whenever he can.

Giovanni was born in Italy but learned English quickly when he moved to America. As long as I have known him, he has never had an issue with the language, aside from the occasional word here and there. Hearing from him is critical, so I know he fully understands what is being said.

As an auto mechanic by trade, he did not wear the proper ear protection. These days he spends more time panning through his phone, and his friends notice. We just say he’s looking for deals on CraigsList, which he enjoys.

The gift of hearing will give him back confidence, self-value, and relationships with friends and family. It will allow him to be an active participant in our lives instead of someone who is just following along. Thank you for this opportunity and consideration.”

Congratulations to Giovanni; we are so happy that you’ll get to enjoy more quality time with family and friends.

A Good Nomination Makes All the Difference

Giovanni’s wife, Michelle, wrote such a loving and meaningful nomination. It spoke to all about the quality of life and the importance of communicating for work and socialization.

The nomination embodied everything we preach every day. He was beyond grateful and even called me an angel. He was very moved by his wife’s message of love and concern.

They shared with me that they have four adult children, and they did not tell them the full details of what the appointment was about, just that Giovanni was going to have his hearing tested.

The look of pure joy on his face when I turned on the aids made my entire year! I see that reaction in children when I turn on the aids, but you rarely see it in an adult.

Looking Ahead

We’ve already had many inquiries about next year’s campaign, which makes us happy. Of course we will be doing this again, and we look forward to helping even more people next year.

We want to thank everyone who made this possible by nominating someone they love. Without your love for your family and friends, this would not be as well received as it was. We want to assure everyone that just because you didn’t win doesn’t mean you should give up on your goal of better hearing.

We have many avenues to overcome any obstacle that stands in the way of healthy hearing.

Schedule a hearing assessment right here to discuss options that are specifically suited to you. We can also jump on a phone call if you have any questions about your hearing or that of a loved one.

We are always standing by to support you and this community the way it has supported us throughout the years. Now is the best time to work towards healthy hearing for your future.

Do you know somebody that needs to see this? Why not share it?
