2023 Hear for the Holidays Giveaway: And the Winner Is…
It’s time to reveal the winner of 2023’s Hear for the Holidays giveaway! If you aren’t familiar with our favorite holiday tradition, it’s a chance for us to give back to our community by giving the gift of hearing to people who need it most.
2022’s giveaway was a huge success, thanks to our community’s support and participation. So, we brought it back for 2023 to allow another person the chance at better hearing health.
We gave you the opportunity to nominate someone deserving of hearing care, who hadn’t had the chance to seek treatment due to financial or personal constraints. We had so many incredible nominees – all the stories we read were heartwarming.
We chose one winner to receive a complimentary pair of premium prescription hearing aids and premium hearing care! It was a tough decision, but we did eventually narrow it down to one. Our winner is the perfect candidate: Someone who is always giving to their community and will now receive something back to them.
Our 2023 Winner Is…
Janet LaCombe!
She was nominated by her childhood friend, Carol, who wrote us an incredibly sweet submission letter about why Janet rightfully deserved hearing care.
Janet offers her free time all over the place: volunteering at the town library, looking after a family member with cardiac issues, and tending to three friends with cancer, Parkinson’s, and dementia.
Because of her busy schedule, she’s not been able to get hearing care or hearing aids, despite struggling with her hearing for a while, Carol told us in her submission. Her letter was so genuine and heartfelt, we knew we had our winner after finishing reading it.
Janet’s had her hearing aids for a few weeks now, and even with the technology learning curve, she’s doing wonderfully so far. Her friends and family are so pleased for her that she can finally hear them—and the people she looks after—better than ever before.
