Does AllWays Insurance Cover Hearing Aids?

"Our insurance specialists will connect with your insurance company to find out exactly what is covered."

When it comes to living life well, good communication is the biggest factor, so we always do what we can to try to change the low numbers of people treating a hearing loss.

Because the perceived financial commitment of hearing aids is a big deterrent to even getting a hearing evaluation, one of our patients’ first questions is if their insurance plan covers the cost of hearing care.

Does AllWays insurance cover hearing aids? It depends mostly on your plan and your hearing test results. I’ll go into the details of these below.

DOES YOUR ALLWAYS PLAN COVER YOUR HEARING TREATMENT? HAVE US CHECK ON YOUR BEHALF.

AllWays Health Partners Insurance

Hearing aids are not covered for MassHealth Essential & Commonwealth Care members, but they are for AllWays Health Partners members who meet certain criteria.

AllWays Health Partners “will reimburse hearing aids for AllWays Health Partners members who have been clinically diagnosed and determined to be hearing-impaired.” This includes hearing aids worn in the ear or behind the ear and bone conduction hearing aids.

Hearing aids must be dispensed by a licensed audiologist and/or board-certified hearing instrument specialists (BC-HIS).

But the hearing aid coverage will require prior authorization to ensure that it is covered by your plan – commercial members will not be covered for hearing assistive devices (like mics), batteries, or repairs when hearing aids are under a warranty.
